OSWER's Segment Architecture - Line of Sight: From Architecture through Implementation
Featuring: Lisa Jenkins, Lead Architect, Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response, Environmental Protection Agency
Segment Architects serve the role between Enterprise Architects and Solution Architects. Solution Architects have had many tools over the years to manage their systems through life cycle management. Much emphasis has also been placed at the federal level on the tools an Enterprise Architect can use. Little has been provided to segment architects. We have an approach and a set of products that fill the gap between these other two levels of architecture, and provide valuable tools for segment architects to use to help them manage the investment portfolio, understand the full architecture of a segment, provide valuable input to the Enterprise and Solution Architects, etc. In the presentation, I will be sharing our approach and the tools so that others can use them, too.
